ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
CAPSIZED IN A DINGHY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! ; Auckland, August 5. ' George Clark and Alfred Clyde _Millctt, two men, were capsized in a dinghy off Pollock, Manakau, yesterday. Clark tried m vain to assist hi'a companion, and nearly lost his own life in.the attempt. He reached the shore very exhausted. Millett was carried away by the backwash of a big wave and drowned. • . FATAL .SEIZURE. Clirlstchurch, August d. A married man, named Sidney PhippS % aged 67, a tailor by trade, with a family of fivo, all grown up,. was taken ill suddenly in the D.I.C. premises at midday "to-day. lie was removed in an unconscious condition to the Hospital, whore he died half an hour-later. THROWN FROM A TRAP. Napier, August 5. Mr. J. B. Arnott, storekeeper at Potane, who had the base of his skull fractured through being thrown from a trap on. Thursday, died.in tho hospital this afternoon.' An inquest will bo. bold to-morrow. ■ ;
