Hueston) last night summed up a. certain proposal which he objected to as "bringing bowling down altogether to the level of ordinary 'football." .- . At a meeting' of tho centre, Clause 10 of the proposed new constitution of the Northern Bowling Association was under discussion. Tho clause provides for the banning from all affiliated clubs of , members who are "unfinancial" with any club'which comes under the control, of the association. ■ Two speakers favoured the idea, one laying down tho doctrine of "no pay, no play.". ■.■-■■ . . ' But' the majority were enemies of Clause 10. According to one of tho objectors, it would be making some official a debt-collector for another club. '■ The chairman was the most positive in his"remarks. "That No, 10 Clause," he said, ; "is against my grain altogether.. I cannot swallow it' at. all. It is bringing bowling down to 'the level of ordinary football."
