A report of tlm voyage shows that tha KimutaKa left London on June a, and Plymouth two days later. Moderate variable winds were experienced to Xeneriu'c ana from 'I'enerilie to Cape 'town iair weather and moderate S.E. trades. Departure was taken from Cape Town on Julv 2, and eight days later tile vessel came up with a violent N.W. gale, which lasted for two days, ana greatly retarded uiu progress of the vessel. A few days' flue weather followed, and then a whole gulo from the south-south-west was em-oipiier-ed, lasting for three days. This latter gale was barely over when a strong northerly blow struck the vessel, and continued until llobart was neared. Owing to a large quantity of cargo having to he discharged, the I'.imutaita was at llobart from July 22 until July 25. when siiu loft for Wellington. It is expected that the Wellington cargo will be discharged in time to enable the ltimuUka to leave Joy- Lyttelton on Wednesday next. Company aro inviting tenders for the construction of two intermediate steamers. Mr. W. G. Binnie joined the Kurow as third engineer on Thursday. Messrs. W. M. Bannatyne and Co. adviso that the Wairau.will leave for Picton and Karamea at 11 a.m. to-day. .. When the Monowai. arrived from Lyttelton yesterday/afternoon, a diver was sent down to-have-'a'look at the propeller, as it was thought: a Tope had fouled it.- Tho diver's examination .. showed nothing wrong.
