COLLEGE GOVERNORS.

The monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of Wellington College and Girls' High School, was held yesterday, there being present: the chairman (Mr. A. do B. Brandon), and Messrs. Robt. Lee, A. Warburton, W. F. NWard. and W. H. Field. A communication.from the Education Department intimated that the sum of £154 7s. 6tl. had been granted toward* 'the cost of converting the old gymnasium at the Boys'. College-into a e-licmistry laboratory. It was decided to accept the tender of Mr. G. H. Bctts, at £308 155., for the. work. „. Payments authorised amounted to £728 175. -4 i. Outstanding fees totalled £2125 17s. sd. The prospective credit'balance was'shown to bo £2815 14s. od. . /. . Amended plans for additions to the Girls' High' School were approved, and tho secretary was instructed to. forward the same to'tho Government for consideration and approval.
