LETTER BOXES.
FORTY-FOUR MORE FOR THE
CITY
In pursuanco of his policy of providing the maximum facilities for the posting of letters, the PostmasterGeneral has authorised the erection of no less than 41 additional receiving boxes at the following places in the city. A commencement will be made with the erection of tho boxes at once. Tho following will be tho locations of the new boxes:—
Corner of Lambton Quay and Stout Street, opposite Public Trust —pillarbox j box on wall Ferguson and Hicks, Lambton Quay, to be closed, and a pillar-box placed corner of Lambton Quay and Johnston Street; corner Custom House Quay and Ballance Street— pillar-box; corner Featherston Street and Waring Taylor Street —pillar-box; corner Willis Street and Chews Lane-pillar-box ;. corner Manners Street and Korbert Street —pillar-box; corner of Cuba Street and Ingestre Street —pil-lar-box; corner Vivian Street and Tory Street —pillar-box; corner Victoria Street and Tory Street—pillar-box, corner Davis Street and Thorndon Quay, opposite tram shelter-shed —box on pole; tram terminus, Botanical Gardens, Tinakori Road—on pole; corner Wellington Terrace and Aurora Ton-ace —box on pole; corner Woolcombe Street and Ghuznee Street—box on pole.; Clyde Quay, opposite Clyde Quay Wharf, on pole; Oriental Bay, opposite houso No. 136, on pole; corner .Majoribanks Street and Brougham Street —box on pole; corner Pirio Street and Austin Street—box on pole; Rovah Street, opposite Hpspital gate—box on pole; corner Mansfield Street and Roy Street, opposite ear sheds—box on polo; comer Salamanca Road and Kelburno Parade; cornor of Daniel Street and Rhodes Street —box on pole; corner of Wallace Street and Hargraves.
