ALL RECORDS BROKEN. By TelegrapliT-Pi-ess Association—Copyright. London, July 28. Cattaneo, the well-known swimmer, beat all records in covering 36J miles. He swam down the Tiber from 9.45 o'clock in the morning until 8 o'clock at night.

The longest swim on record is. that of T.'-W. Burgess, who in 1908 swam about 50 miles in 22J hours, in his Channel swim attempt. On his first Channel attempt of that year a few weeks previously Burgess also covered about 50 miles in 20 ihonrs 11 minutes. .). Wolfe, in two Channel f swims, covered 38 miles in 15 hr. lGinin. and 35 miles in 14 hours.
