With a view to linking trade interests with the German colonial administration Herr von Lindequist, the new German Secretary for the Colonies, has invited tho Chambers of Commerce at Berlin, ■Hamburg, Chemnitz, and other cities to nominate delegates to constitute a permanent industrial committee to the Colonial Department. Hen- von Lindequist incidentally mentioned the necessity of regulating the production of colonies, especially with regard to wool and cotton and other raw materials.''
