MTJIAIGATAWNY SOUP.
Two-pints'of stock, ljozs.' butter, ljozs. flour, 1 dessertspoonful of curry powder and 1 dessertspoonful of chutney, 1 apple, 1 .onion, 1 'teaspoonful of lemon juke, 1 te'aspoonful of sugar, J teacupful of rice, salt.to taste. Chop the onion and applo finely; fry .them in -the butter '-a nice brown, then add curry.. powder, chutney, and'flour. Mix well together, then add the stock gradually, stirring'well; add •the other' ingredients; stir until it boils; simmer 20 minutes.' Scire Ih'e rice in the eoup. :•,'•• .■;.'.'.■.'. '• '■ ■
