At tho meeting of tlio ITarboivr Board last evening, Mr. J. G. Harkncss tabled the following notice of motion, remarking that ho accepted the challcngo advanced by. Afr. T. K. Mncdonald at a provious meeting:— "After consideration of the correspondence laid boforo members of tho board in reference to tho proposed loan of .£500,000 in London during July, 1909, and the 6iibscquent discussions.thereon, the board reaftirms the resolution ef July 6, 1909:— "'That tho National Bonk of New Zealand, Ltd., bo instructed to cable its London office- that the Hon» T, Kennedy Macdouald ]ias no authority in any way to represent the Wellington Harbour Board financially, and that tho offer convoyed by Bank's cable of Juno 28 bo declined, tho board not requiring any mossy ot .present. 1 *
