THE PIONEER BOAT ARRIVES. IBy TelecraDh—Press Association.) Auckland, July 27. The steamer Rakaia, the pioneer boat of the New Z«a'.and Shipping Company'a new; Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand line, arrived at Auckland this afterneon from Montreal, Melbourne, and Sydney. She has altogether 1100 tons of cargo for the-Dominion to be distributed as under:—Auckland and Wellington eaoli 350 tons; Lyttelton and Dunedin, 200 tons. At Melbourne the steamer discharged 850 tons, and at Sydney 750 tons. The principal lines of freight consist of agricultural maohinery, paper, and carbide calcium. The steamer brought several jiassenseft from Sydney, including Mr. _W. A. Beddoe, Canadian Trade Commissioner to New Zealand, whose headquarters will be at Auckland. The Rakaia sails for Wellington on Friday.
