Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited (Wanganui branch)! report having hold clearing sales during the past week on account of, Messrs. Palmer Bros., Whenuaknra, and Mr. .T. M. fl"iggic, No. 2 Line: The report states:—At Palmer Bros.' s.alo on Tuesday we offered a large selection' of shsop. store and dairy cattle, horses, and sundries, There was. a. large attendance of buyers, and bidding throughout was spirited, and wo have to report a most successful sale. The- sheep were a particularly good lot, the e\ve.i making up to 19s. 2d. Competition for tho dairy- stock was very keen, good sorts selling up to £10 ss. A. large and varied assortment of implements sold particularly well, in somo instances making right up to new prices. At Mr. Biggie's on .Thursday, we again had a good attendance, and. a successful sale. Quotations:—Palmer Bros.' sale: Twotooth ewes, in lamb, 18s. lid. to 19s. 2d.: four and six-tooth ewes, do.. 18s. 9d.; sixtooth do., 18s. 3d.; four and six-tooth and f.f.m. ewes in lamb, 16s. 4d.; dry ewes, 12s. 2d.;-store wethers, 15s. 4d.; mixed hoggets, 12s. 10d., 13s. .43:;. cull hoggets, 7s. 6d.;. full-mouth Eoinncy rams, 18s. to £1 Bs.; Lincoln rams, to £2 25.; forward bulloeks. £7 9s:;-store bullocks,- £5 Its. 6d.; cows and- calves, £5 55.; eightcen-months steer, £3 Bs. 6d.; empty cows, ; £3 6s. 6d.; vcarlings, £2 :17s, 1 Cd.i dairy cows, good sorts, £7 to £10 ss.';. others, £4 7s. 6d. to £6 10s.; springing heifers,.£s to £6 10s.; horses, draughts,, two-year allies, £15 ,1.0 £21. 155.; geldings, l broken to all .work, £17 to '£18 Ids.-, Shetland pony, .£l2 10s.; hacks, £5 15s. to £11 Ms. Harness, implements, etc., all sold well up. to. market rates. : Mr..
