Tho Kak'aramea Dairy' Factory (South Taranaki) was reopened yesterday.
For tho nine months ending March, 1910, America imported, 213,677,6801b. of wool, compared.te 174,000,0001b. last year and 92,000,0001b. in 19' OS. Of this amount 89,000,0001b. was clothing,, and 28,000,0001b. combing, and " over 101,000,0001b'. was carpet wool. Heavy increases were noted in the clothing wool from South America- and tho combing wool from England. Respecting the ridding of land of 'thistles-a correspondent in tho "Farmer, and Stockbreeder" describes a method,.- which, he .says, ho has always 1 found successful, and which has eradicated, them' in every case—viz., behead the thistle with any ordinary instrument ■ or thirty hours' her fore or after chauge of moon. . Seeing that it-is a plant of. the'moon, it must be' done "at that particular time..
