MASTERTON NOTES.
(Prom .Our Special Correspondent.) Masterton July 23. At the adjourned meeting of creditors held .to-day in the estato of Long and Co., butchers, of Masterton, the Deputy Official Assignee reported that ho had sold the business and plant for ,£lO. In consequence of there being a considerable sum owing for training fees, etc., 011 the racehorse Moloch, a sum of .£lO had been accepted for tlio interest of one of the bankrupts in that horse. A further report was submitted by Mr. James, accountant, concerning tho books. The motion to hold a public examination of the bankrupts was not earned, and the meeting was adjourned sino die.
Complete arrangements aro being.made for an art exhibition, which is to bo held in tho Technical School 011 August 3. It is hoped that tlio exhibition will result in the quickening of interest in the art classes at tho school.
