Dalgety and Company, Limited (Palmerston North branch) report: At our Mangaweka sale on Wednesday a very good yarding of both sheep and cattle came to hand, all of which met with a keen demand. A large quantity of furniture, sundries, etc., sold at full market rates. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palmerstou North sale on Thursday we had a good yarding of sheep to offer. Ernest Leigkton reports that a very successful sale was held by him this week at his Lower Hutt stock yards. There was a large attendance of buyers, and all cows were keenly' competed for. especially those near piolit. The following prices were realised:—threc-quartor bred Jersey heifer, £12 155.; others, £8 55., £7 10s., £6 45.; £6, £6; cows (bacltwood calvers), £4 125., £4 75., £3 18s., £3 16s; weaners, to 395. Horses were slow of sale. All poultry offered wa-s cleared at satisfactory prices.
