Dalgety and Company, Limited (Palmerston North branch) report: At our Mangaweka sale on Wednesday a very good yarding of both sheep and cattle came to hand, all of which met with a keen demand. Quotations: Aged breeding ewes, 7s. to Bs.; mixed age ewes in lamb, lis. 10d„ 123. to 13s. Id.; empty ewes, 7s. Bd.; medium wethers, 13s. 6d. to 14s. 7d. Cattle: Fat heifers, £5 IDs.j fat bullockß, £7 35.; Bringing heifers, £5; springing oowb to Dalgety and Company, Limited (Palmerston North branch) report:—At our Marton sale on Tuesday we had a very good yarding of sheep, which met with a keen demand. Id.; medium mixed hoggets to lis. 9d.; ewe hoggets, 12s. 6d. to 13s. 6d.; wether hoggets to 12s. 3d.; mixed age ewes in lamb, 10s. sd. to 12s. 2d.; s.m.. ewes in lamb to 12s.' 6d.; f.f.m. ewes in lamb to 145.; 6-tooth'and f.f.m. ewes in lamb to 145.; 6-tooth and f.f.m. ewes in lamb, 16s. 7d.; 2-tooth ewes in lamb to 17s. 6d. Dateety atid Company, Limited, in conjunction with the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agoncy Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held a very successful clearing sale at Apiti, on account of Mr. 0. S. Tyei*van, on. Monday. There wa-s a very large attendance of both local and Pohangina buyers, and Keen competition was evinced right through the sale. Quotations:—Sheep: Wether hoggets, 10s. 7d.; ewe hoggets, 125.; 4 and 5-year breeding ewes in lamb to Romney rams, 14s. Bd.; 4-year do., 16s. s 4-tootli do., 18s. lCd.; 4 and 6-tooth do., to 19s. 4d.; 2-tooth do., 19s. 7d.; 4-tooth wethers, 16s. to 17s. Cattle: Weaner heifers, 325.; weaner steers, £2 75.; store cows, £2 35.; 18-month heifers, £2 195.; 2-year heifers, £3 55.; 3-yoar heifers, £5 lis. A large quantity of furniture, sundries, etc., sold at full market rates. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palmerstou North sale on Thursday we had a good yarding of sheep to offer. A fair demand existed for all classes, and a good clearance was made at the prices quoted below:-Good 3, 4, and 5year owes in lamb, 15s. 2d. to 16s. Gil.; 2-tooth to f.in. ewes in lamb (low condition),- lis. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report:—At Palmerston A T orlh on Thursday wo had a good entry of both sheep and A good demand existed throughout, and \io clcitred every pen with one exception. Sheep: Cull empty ewes, ss. Id,; cull ewes in lamb, Bs.; good breeding ewes, 145.; mixed lioggets, iOs. lid. Cattle: Springing heifers, £7 to £7 55.; yearling steers, £2 6s. to £2 Bs. 6e1.; two-year steers, £4 75.; heifers in calf, £4 55.; cows in calf, £5 ss. to £7; storo cows, £2 15s. to £3 ss. Mr. H. Ernest Leigkton reports that a very successful sale was held by him this week at his Lower Hutt stock yards. There was a large attendance of buyers, and all cows were keenly' competed for. especially those near piolit. The following prices were realised:—threc-quartor bred Jersey heifer, £12 155.; others, £8 55., £7 10s., £6 45.; £6, £6; cows (bacltwood calvers), £4 125., £4 75., £3 18s., £3 16s; weaners, to 395. Horses were slow of sale. All poultry offered wa-s cleared at satisfactory prices.
