MASTERTON NOTES.
(From Our Special Correspondent.) Masterton, July 21. The monthly meeting of the Masterton' Hospital Trustees was held yesterday, Mr. J. B. Keith presiding. It was decided ' that in' future the committee meet at thehospital on the third Tuesday in each month. Tlio secretary reported that_ the receipts in connection with tho North Wairarapa Benevolent Society since the last meeting amounted to .£lls 10s. Bd., and the expenditure to .£lO 155., leaving a credit balance of v£6i 15s. Bd. A hitter was received from Miss Eoberts, resigning her position as matron of the hospital. It was dccuicil to accept the resignation, and to leave the matter of appointing a new matron in the hands of the chairman and Dr. A. Hosking. The treasurer's statement in connection with the hospital showed a credit balance of JM37 9s. 3d. There are at present twenty patients in the Masterton Hospital. A sub-com-mittee was set up at yesterday's meeting of the trustees to go into tho question of installing electric light at the institution. The Wairarapa Ladies' Hockey Associa- ' tion. has decided to enter a senior team for the tournapient to be held shortly ia ■ Nelson.
