M'Arthur, Unionist,, has resulted in the return of Mr. Kyffin Taylor, Unionist. The voting was as. follows:— Mr. Kyffin Taylor (Unionist) 4,268 Mr. A. G. Cameron (Labour) ... 3,427 Unionist majority 841 (Rec. July 21, 10.50 p.m.) Mr. Ivyifin Taylor, in a speech after the poll, claimed that, a victory had been won for Constitutionalism as against Socialism. He also declared that the election was a protest against the new Accession Declaration.

The seat has long been a Conservative stronghold. At the General Election in January last Mr. C. Arthur (Conservative) received .414-1 votes, and Mr. Cameron (Labour) 3921, the Conservative majority being 223, the lowest on record since 1892. ■
