MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
v Despite the wet weather, the Missions to Seamen Institute was filled in every part last evening, when Mr. Leo Buckeridgo provided an enjoyable concert. Mi. James Moore, the missioner, occupied the chair. The following contributed items to the programme;- -Instrumental trio, Misses Tombs, Tewsiey. and Mr. M'Lean; song, Mr. Oakcy; 'cello solo, Mr. M'Lean j song, Sir. Buckeridge; sons, Miss Smith; sou", Mr. Oakey; 'cello solo, Mr. M'Lean; song, Mr. Lewis; song, Mr. Buckeridge: Misses G. Hunt and Tewsley acted as accompanists. Every item was encored.' Several popular choruses were sung by the audience, and an amusing conundrum competition was won.'by sailors from ships in port. During a short interval, the missioner delivered a temperance address, nine men taking the pledge; The performers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks at the conclusion, and light refreshments were dispensed.
