TWO FACTORY OUTPUTS.
Last season's dairy produce outputs from ..Toll's and tho Kaupokonui factories provide interesting reading'(says our travelling correspondent). Both run dual factories, but butter was made only in tho closo season. Kaupokonui's output equalled 1058 tons of cheese, worth approximately something more than .8110,000; Joll's factories turned butter and cheese equal to 1916 ton 6 of cheese, valued at about .£109,000. The two companies, therefore, were responsible for over £2W, 000 of the dairy produce manufactured in tho North Island. The manager of the Kaupokonui factory supplies the following', further.. details .of the two . factories. Last season, lie says, Kaupokonui paid ,ES9.t7l VSs. 1(1. to its suppliers; Joll's J590.G54 'Is. 4d., the net return i«r 'lb. of bnt.tor-fat being respectively 12.113 d and.l2.loGd. This present season, it is estimated that.luvupokonni will turn out dairy produce equalling about 2225 tons , of cheese.
