BIG FIGHT WANTED.

UNNAMED MAN CHALLENGES ■JOHNSON. Si TeleeraDU-Press Association—OoD7rlili| New York, July 18. On behalf of air unnamed fighter, Mr. M'lntosh challenges Johnson, Kaufman, Laagford, Ketchel, or any other fighter to fight twenty rounds for the biggest purse yet put up. Hβ is posting 5000 dollars forfeit. The contest, if arranged, is to take'place in the- States, England, or Australia.

The boxer whom Mr. M'lntosh (owner of the Sydney Stadium) is offering to pit against Johnson will, in all probability, be Bill Lang, the champion heavy-weight of Australia, who journeyed from' Sydney to Reno to see the big fight, in company with Tommy Burns. Lang has been steadily improving as a fighter for two years past. He has beaten Squires twice and a few months ago defeated Fitzsiraroons in twelve rounds. Burns defeated Lang in six rounds in September, 1908, but when they met again three months ago they fought out the full twenty rounds, Burns being declared the winner on points, a decision which was questioned by many who witnessed the encounter. Lang should know Johnson's strength pretty. well, as ho was the black man's 'sparring partner when the latter was training for his figjit with Burns in Sydney last. year.
