Hokianga to load timber, for Timaru. - From Timaru she proceeds to Lyttelton for anuual overhaul. Yesterday's arrivals at Auckland included the Tyaer liner Marere, from London, via Australian ports. Instead of loading case oil at Now York for Now Zealand ports, as stated a few days ago (says the "Daily Commercial News"), the steamer Vermont is to take tho berth for all Australasian ports. As a result of the finding in tho case of the Ore on the s.s. Indradcvi, in which the Court condemned the charcoal insulation as the cause of the trouble, it lias been decided to roplace the insulation with pumice, the order being executed by the Firth Pumice Company, of Auckland. . When she has completed discharge at Now Zealand ports, the Tyscr steamer Marere, now en route to the Dominion from London will be hurried back to the Commonwealth to tako up tho running on behalf of the A.U. Line. She will call at Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, in the order named .to load for Liverpool and London. Good time was made by tho Maoriland Company'** Enncrdale on tho run from Edithburgh to Timaru, the trip being covered in eight days. When tho vessel has discharged her cargo of salt at Timnru and Lytteltpn, she. will go to Oarcaru and Timaru to load produce for Auckland. A cablegram from Albany states that the Fedcral-Houlder-sliire liner Caldergrove left there yesterday for Auckland. The CaldcrgroVo is bound from Liverpool to New Zealand ports, and called at Albany for bunker coal. Altogether 94 passengern are coming iv New Zealand by the Union Company's Manuka, which is due here to-morrow from Sydney. Of this number 5?. are in the saloon and 42 are travelling steerage. Both tho Flora and tho To Anau are to leave for Greymouth this morning. The Kurow leaves to-day for Westport. The Poherua ifl due here to-night, from Greymouth, and the Rakanoa is due on Thursday, from Westport. , The Krni was to leavo Westport for Onehunga at 8 o'clock last night. Tho Kaituna leaves Westport to-morrow for Melbourne. An expected arrival thio afternoon is tho collier Oanopus, which will bring a full cargo of coal from Westport for the Westnort Ooal Company. k
