DESCENT WTH STOPPED MOTOR. Paris, July 17. At Havre, M. Mollon was aeroplaning at a height of 975 feet, when the-motor stopped, Jlollon aeroplaned' slantingly to , the water and escaped without injury. • OVERSEA RACE. London, July 17. Morane, using a monoplane, and Drexel, in a biplane, raced from Bournemouth to The Needles and back, a distance of between 25 and 30 miles. The former was the winner. time was 2omin. 12sec. ' OVERSEA FLIGHT. (Rec. July 19, 0.50 a.m.) Copenhagen, July 18. Sevendsen, a Dane, aeroplaned from Copenhagen to Malraoe,. across The Sound, a distance" <of about 19 miles, in 31 minutes. BOURNEMOUTH PRIZE-WINNERS. (Rec. July 19, 1.10 a.m.) London, Jijly 18. The Hon. Alan Boyle, who was injured while aeroplaning, was unconscious during most of yesterday, but his recovery is hoped for. . At the' Bournemouth meeting, M. Morane'won first prizes, for speed and altitude, for the sea iligh,t, and for general merit. He has won over ,£3OOO. Messrs. Dresel • and Grahame-White were among the chief prize-winners.
