OVERDUE STEAMER.

LIFE-BOAT PICKED TIP. Sydney, July 16. Tho steamer Waddon, 3931 tons, is overdue at Sydney from Ocean Island, with a cargo of phosphates. Last night the steamer Wonga Fell, which is not due in Sydney till the end of the month, called at Capo Morton, ond reported having passed the Waddon's lifeboat. The message is very meagre. REPORT DENIED. Sydney, July 17. The steamer WoDga Fell has been intercepted on the coast, and has denied the report about the Waddon's lifeboat. The captain stated that he had not seen or heard of it. The previous signal must have been misread.
