Y.M.C.A. BOYS' DEPARTMENT.
On- Wednesday evening, the, intermediate members of the Y.iM.C.A. Boys' Department met for their weekly meeting, when a "musical evening" was given under the direction of-. Hr. C. D. M'lntosh. A capital programme was* provided by several, friends introduced by Mr. M'lntosh, tliis programme being varied with thirteen items. Supper was served at the closo of the entertainment. Several members of the Boys' Ladies' Auxiliary met oil this occasion, with a view to arranging ways and means to provide towards the expenses of Jlr. E. XL Ryan (boys' work director), from America. Last evening the junior members also met for a social evening. A pianoforte solo was rendered by Sir. ;W. Jennings. Master. Geo. Baker gave a song, "A Sol.dicr Boy," this being followed by a recitation, "Christening," by Mr. J. Cassey. Master Cbas. Worth gave a song, and Mr. Denesis brought the programme to a close by a song. Much enthusiasm was manifested in a competition for tho disposal of tickets for the Maori concerts. Supper was served on both occasions under the direction of Mr. Geo. M'Kay and the Social Committee. ~ ■ "i
