* , Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly, sale of wool, skins, hides, and tallow yesterday afternoon. There was a large attendance of buyers, and . all lines were keenly competed for. Wool: Prices for wool and crutchings were on a par with, last sale rates, superior crutchings showing a slight advance.. (a special line of four bales, bjd.); inferior ami heavy doj, 4d. to 5d.; scoured crutchings, 83d.; pieceE, 3d. to 1*(1.; washed pieces, 43d. Sheepskins: Competition was keen for ah lots, prices for dry skins being on a par with last sale. Priccß of'butchers' and green skins were slightly in sellers' favour. Quotations:—Crossbred medium, ■6(1. to 71d.; half wools, Sid. to 7d.; lambs, sd. to 6*d.; mixed and broken, s£d. to 6d.; butchers' green, 6s. to 7s. 5(1.; butchers' damp, 4s. 6d. to 6s. 5(1.; lambs' damp, 3s. Bd. to 4s. 3d. Bides: As compared with last sale, prices showed a decline of up to 3d. Limited, I report as follows - regarding yesterday' 3 sale:—We offered. 50. bales of wool, 25C0 sheepskins, 400 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Thero was a good attendance of buyers. Wool: Competition was good, crutchings were fully a halfpenny per lb. lower than tho extreme prices that have been recently paid. There was a, ?oort attendance of buyers, and keen binding for wool and skins at a, slightly lower range of prices than those ruling* at last sales. Murray, Huberts, and Co., Ltd., report:—We submitted a catalogue- of 110 bales wool, 20C0 sheepskins. ICO hides, and a quantity of tallow at yesterday's sale. Although a lower range of values was expected, owing to the reports received of the present London sales; competition for .both wool and sheepskins was extremely keen, and prices ruling last sale were often obtainable; occasionally values could bo quoted as a farthing lower. Considering that the saJa was held close on the heels of 'a drop in scouring wools and skins, wo experienced a most satisfactory sale. Hides mot a dragging sale at about a halfpenny per In. lower than last sale; but it may bo mentioned that the wet, sloppy weather materially affected the condition of the hides.
