Dalgety and Company, Limited (Palmerston North branch), report:—At oui Palmerston North sulo, ueld on Thursday, wo offered a medium entry of all classes of stock, late values being well maintained. The following are prices realised ;—Agod owes in lamb, lis. /3d.; woolly lambs, 12s. 4d.; four am. six-tooth (.wes in lamb, 13s. Cd., 145., to 15s. lOd.; fat owes, to 16a. Cattle: Empty heifers, £2 175.; store cows, £2 .17s. 6d.; forward Bullocks, £o; fat and forward bullocks, £7 Bs. At a clearing sale near Jlarton, on account of lUr. tieorgo Gray, on'i'huruclay, tho dairy cows were in low condition, and consequently the demand was not. keen. Quotations:—Calvers, Us.; wcanorx. 31s.i yearling heifers, £2 ICa.; dairy cows, late calvers, £3 Ills, to £4 155.; September calvers, £5 55., £5 10s., £5 155., £6 2s. 6d., £6 10b., £7, to £7 15s. Messrs. .Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their' fortnightly sale at Upper Hutt, on Thursday. A small yarning of sheep and a, medium yarding of cjattlo came forward, the whole yarding meeting with good competition, a total clearance resulting. Prices ..were as follow:—Sheep: Mixed wethers and cull hoggets, 10s. Id. Cattle: Springing heifers, £6; springing heifers, backward sorts. £4 to £4 ss. to £4 10s.: dairy cows, September calvers, £4, £4 10s., £4 195., to £6; forward empty cows, £4 2s. 6d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 00., Ltd. (Feilding branch), report for the week ending July 16 as follows :— At Rangiwahia. on Tuesday, there was a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle, which sold at full market rates. Quotations:—Wether lambs, 9s. Id."to 10s. 9d.; aged ewes in,lamb, 95.; small two-tooth wethers, 12s. Id.; small twu-tooth owes in lamb, 13s. 9d.; mixed weanors, 335. Bd.; cows in calf, £3 2s. to £5 18s.; heifers in calf, £3 14s. to £3 18s. 4d.; springing heifers, £5 10s.; cows with calves at loot, £3 10s. 6(1. to £4; springing cows, £6; bulls, £2. At Messrs. R. Robinson and Sons' clearing sale of dairy stock, • on Wednesday, there was a large attendance of buyers. Bidding was spirited, and a very successful. sale resulted. Cows made up to £12 155., tho average price for the ■ herd of 70 being £8 Is. 6d. Pigs and sundries'made full rates. At Feilding, on Friday, wo had a good entry of both sheep and cattle. '■ Sheen wore inclined to drag somewhat, and several pens wero turned out unsold. We wore successful, however, in quitting the bulk of our entry. Cattle sold at. late rates. There was a good competition throughout., and we had practically a total clearance at prices mainly in favour of vendors. Wo quote :—Sheep: Forward ewes, lis. 3d.; ewes in.lamb, 17a.; hoggets, 10s. Bd.; aged ewes, 6s. 9A. Weaners made 4s. to 7s. 6d.; stores, small, 10s. to 135.: stores, good, 15s. to 195.; porkers, 20s. to 305.: horse, gig, and. harness made £40; goat, 175.; gig; £8. At TJrcnui, on' Monday', there was a good yarding of cattle, most classes soiling well, especially the young stoclt. Practically everything was sold at tho hammer.'
