' Ihe finals of tho events at the first | annual meeting of the Plimpton Club tifcently formed at Hawera, were run to■day. Ihe first draws were run on Wednesday m beautiful weather, when there was exceptionally exciting sport. To-day despite the incessant downpour, there .•was a capital attendance, and it is quite evident that coursing is popular here Tho meeting has, altogether, been a highly successful one. Kills were fairly numerous to-day, but some/of tho runs were exciting in tbe extreme. The hates were in great form, and some of them simply, played with tho dogs, and wore them out. The cup donated by Mr. Geo ■ Gibson was-won by Dan O'Connell after ,a run-off with Blotches. The Maiden iritakea was won br Rnffles. with Hazel jiunner-up.
