THE AVOOIj SALES. Tlio latest reports regarding the London wool sales are encouraging. The gale continues animated, and prices are-firm for all classes of wool. bought wool in New Zealand for resale in London at the current sales are reported to be making losses. It is probable that the carry-over, especially of coarse wools, is likely to be large. CUSTOMS REVENUE. Customs revenue collected at Wellington yesterday amounted to £1996 19a. 9d. UNION BANK DIVIDEND. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Lonaon, July 13. Tho Union Hank of Australia lias declared a. dividend of ten per cent., and a bonus of two per cent., set aside £10,000 towards bank premises in tho colonies, added £20,000 to reserve, and carried forward £39,000. The wool sales continued animated. Priccs for all descriptions are firm. The home trado is taking the bulk of tho offerings. Tho offering totalled 7605 bales, including 5350 from New; Zealand. It was a, miscellaneous selection. There was a large attendance of buyers, and keen bidding, and the market was unexpectedly Arm, though occasional lots of shabby crossbred sold at prices in favour of buyers. Slipe was from Id. to Id. per lb. below tho closing rates of the May sales. Mesirs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., have received the following message: "Tho sales have opened with a large . attendance of buyers and good competition. A poor selection is offered, but the market shows no material change except for scoured and sliped crossbred wools, which are a shade lower." AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE MARKETS.
