Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— At our Palmerston sale yesterday there was a medium entry o£ all classes of stock, late values being well maintained. Prices realised were as follow:—Aged ewes in lamb, ,11s,. 3d. ;,,.wo.olly ; lambs, 12s. 4d.; four and six-to'o'tli ewes in'lamb,' 13s. 6d., 145., to 15s. 10d.; fat ewes, to 16s. Cattlo: Empty heifers, £2 175.; store cows, £2 17s. 6d.; forward bullocks, £6; fat and forward bullocks, £7 Bs. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report::—At our Huutcrville sale on Tuesday, July 12, a very good yarding of cattle came io hand, all of which sold exceptionally well. Quotations Small weaners, to £2 25.; mixed yearlings, £2 15s. Cd. to £3 Is. 6(1.;" empty store cows, to £3 25.; backward dairy cows, £4 10s.; dairy heifers, to £5 7s. 6d ; light fat cows, to £4 155.; two-year steers, to £4 155.; two and a half-year steers, 1 to £5 ss. A line of 22 mother-fed Shorthorn weaner lieifers, sold on account of Mr. 3: Bull, junr., realised £3 145., and 35 mother-fed weaner steers, offered oil same account, met with keen competition, and were knocked down at £3 13s. An exceptionally nice pen of 23 well-bred three-year Shorthorn steers, sold on account of Mr. J.'Barthorp, Silverhope, realised £6 lis. 6d. A quantity of saddlery, produce, etc., sold at full rates. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At the clearing sales o£ dairy stock held during the week good prices have been realised at. Mr. T. Leen's sale at Rongotea on Tuesday. August and September calvers sold up to £12 55., the whole herd of 63 cows averaging £8 lis. per head. A line of two-year heifers, to calvo September and October; made £5 9s. 6d. At Mr. Eiddler's sale at Halcombc on Monday, prices ranged from £3 to £8 55., tile herd of 21 cows averaging £6 2s. Cd. per head. We also sold, on account of Mr. A. 0. Pearce v4O cows at £4 10s„ 25 steers at £4 10s., and several ■ other lines of cows on account of other vendors sold well. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At. our Palmerston North sale on Thursday, owing to the inclement wear ther, only a small entry came forward. Sales were made at the following quotas tions:—Fat ewes, 155.; mixed liofr<rets, 12s. Id.: small hopgets, 7s. Gd.; • forward bullocks, £7 lis,; fat heifers, £4 15s. to £6 55.; forward cows, £3 18s.; store cows, 20s. to £2; weaners, 275. (By Telegraph.—Press ■ Association.) Duncdln, July 13. At Burnsidc stock market 166 head of fat cattle were yarded. At the commencement prices were firm, but they eased somewhat towards the finish. Prime bullocks, £10 to £11 10s.; extra, to £12 155.; medium to good, £9 to £10; inferior, £7 10s. to £8 10s.; prime heifers, £8 to £9; extra, to £10. Fat sheep: 2676 penned. The market was easier to the extent of Is. per head, and extra weights were even ■ a ■ shade lower, probably declining by 2s. per head. The quality was about the best forward this season. Best wethers, 17s. 6d. to 195.; extra, 21s. 6d. to 225. 9d.; best ewes, 15s. to 16s. 6d.; extra, to 18s. 9d.; medium. 12s. 6d. to 13s. 6d. Fat lambs: 1597 penned. Prices were on a par with last week's rate, but the quality on the whole was not so good. Prime, 15s. to 16s. 6d.; extra, to 18s. 6d.; medium, 13s. 6d. to 14s. 6d.; inferior, 12s. to 13s. Pigs: 96 yarded. Young pigs showed an advance, .while porkers and baconers rose by Jd. to Jd. per lb. Suckers, 6s. 6d. to Bs. 6d.; slips, 9s. to 145.; stores. 17s. to 245.; porkers, Ms. to 345.; light baconers, ,365. to 405.; heavy, 425. to 505.: cboppenj, to 675. 6d.
