Tho barometer rose slightly in the nor th during Wednesday night, and tho winds were generally moderate and variable. Rain has fallen in many parts, and especially on tho East Coast of the North Island. Present indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather and rain probable generally, with a further fall in tho barometer, which is likely to continue low and unsteady until about Monday evening, when a southerly may ho expected.
