A Royal decree issued at Lisbon cenBures the Archbishop of Braga (cdpital of the Province of Minho) for suppressing a religious periodical at the Pope's 'instance without the concurrence of the Crown. ■ In consequence of the anti-clerical measures of the Spanish Government, negotiations between Spain and' the Vatican have been broken off.
