ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

STRUCK BY A BOOM.. ! (By Telegraph.—Press Association.!. ; ''~... The fact, that the boom struck Frewin partly on tho ' sido of tlio head saved his life-, by a few ■ inches.

ACCIDENT ON INDEADEVI

Whilst working on tho steamer Indradevi last eveninga single man named D. 11''Kay accidentally fell down' one of the holds and received slight- concussion of the brain, as .well as injuries to liis side. .Aftoi receiving temporary assistance he was conveyed to tho hospital. M'Kay," -who is i carpenter by trade, was engaged in effecting repairs to the steamer. He is 47 years of ago and belongs to Hastings. . '..
