TO PREVENT STRIKES.
FRENCH LEGISLATION. COLLECTIVE LABOUR CONTRACTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Roc. July 13, 0.10 a.m.) Paris, July 12. M. Briand, Prime Minister of France, has introduced a Bill in the Chamber of Deputies with the object of preventing strikes. It enables an association of workers to enter into a collective labour contract with air association of employers, and. permits dissentients to resign from membership of the association or union within three days following the notice of contract. The association corporntely, and the members individually, are made responsible for breaches of contract and liable to damages.
