PRIZE COURTS
AMENDMENT OF BRITISH LAW. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrieht. (Roe. July 11, 11.20 p.m.) London, July 11. A Bill has been introduced into Parliament based on the recommendations of tho committeo set up under the presidency of Baron Govell of Brampton to adapt tho British Prize Court procedure to the requirements of tho Internationa! Court of Appeal, established at tho second Hague Conference.
The appeal from the Prize Courts now lies to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, namely, the King-in-Council, but inasmuch as it is impossible to permit an appeal from the Sovereign's decision to a Iribuiial composed of representatives of other countries, the Bill substitutes for the present appellate tribunal a Supreme Prize Court, composed cf specially nominated members of the. Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
