TWO PROTESTS. Christchurch, July 11. In several of the city churches yesterday reference was made from the pulpit to the prospect of films of tUe JohnsonJeffries prize-fight being shown here. To-night the City Council will be asked to receive a deputation from the Ministers' Association on tho subject. Dunedin, July 11. ' At the Tabernacle, King Street, yesterday, Pastor Hastie moved a resolution requesting the City Council to take such steps as will prohibit the exhibition of moving pictures of the Johnson-Jeffries fight, and any other similar exhibitions in Dunedin. This was carried unanimously.
