THE SHEARERS' DISPUTE.
CONFERENCE TO BE HELD. (By Telozranh-Press Association.. Ghristchurch, July 11. A conference between representatives of the Canterbury sheep-owners and the Canterbury Shearers' Union will be heid hero on Wednesday. Mr. Laracy, the general secretary, states that he feels sure ihe Canterbury Union does not intend to withdraw anything in regard to price. VYuiUover tho intentions ot the union are in rneetins the employers, the union would not shiit from the demand for 20s. per 100. Mr. "Watldell, secretary of the Canterbury Union, states that the conference will discuss all matters, including price. The union had its own opinion as to the worth of the work, but wanted to oDino to a settlement. The union does not want thiuss hung up in tin unsatisfactory condition, lut wants to give the farmers and everrone a chance.
