THE PRIZE FIGHT PICTURES.
Sir, —Quite recently the promoters of the great prize fight at Reno were us-, ing their best endeavour to get tne authorities in various parts of • tha States to allow this brutal affair to take place within their borders; but public opinion was against them, and they had to select a district where cutthroats and perpetrators of every kuown crime generally resort. Nothing is'too bad there, provided-money can be made out of it. . ■
Now, sir, if the fight itself is so ce. moralising to the community, why allow moving pictures of the' affair to bo exhibited in the country? I unhesitatingly assert they, should be absolutely! prftJuJiitoji;, 7 'Showing,;; them to r thousands of our young people who visit the picture shows will lo'wer the moral.tone and.degrade far more than just permitting the fight itself, in a town which would only be scon by. a limited number of adults who.can afford, to pay the fancy , prices. Is there any member of the House who has tho welfare 'of .our young .people at heart who will move in this matter, and so prevent them becoming familial with any more of these brutish exhibitions.—' I am, etc., FATHER..
