Guinness) stated that ho had received the following letter from Mr. Wilford, M.l'., Chairman of Committees: — Wellington, July ,7, 1910. Tho Hon. tho Speaker. Dear sir,—l beg to tender my resignation as Chairman of Committees in' tho House of Representatives. Tlios. M. Wilford. "I presume," added the Hon. A. R. Guinness, "that tho Prime Minister will •take tho necessary action in tho near future."
