Late last night the new steamer Mineric arrived off the Heads from Newcastle, and signalled for a pilot. A tug placed Pilot DpvWsou aboard thv vessel, and she wa.s brought to an anchor in the stream shortly alter midnight. The Mineric is bound from to Valparaiso, South America, and has called here for bunker coal. This is her maiden voyage, and she carries a general cargo. Mr. Crocket left Dusky Sound on Thursday in tho 35-foot launch Makura, but had to turn buck into Preservation owins to heavy weather. Several other starts were rantlo, but shelter had lo be taken. Eventually, on Monday, the launch got away from Green Island, and by taking advantage ot all indentations, Bluff was made about the same time as the Maitai arrived on Monday night.
