LONDON WOOL SALES. Tho next London wool sales begin on Tuesday of next wccU, and the probable course of the market is not without interest. A period of quite two months will have run between tho closing of the May sales and the opening of the July sales, and the quantity likely to be availablt, taking in the carry-over, will be about 185,000 bales. No great quantity of highclass wool, either merino or crossbred, can be looked for,, because as a matter of l'act the July sales will, to a large extent, constitute the elosing up of the season 190910. At a recent date the trade prospects in Europe wery extremely satisfactory. There was a little uneasiness in German* spinners there complaining of the difficulty of placing fresh contracts for yarn. In France the trade was never in a better aJid more hopeful position, and much the same" might be said with respect to England. The one weak point in the genera) situation is America, and in that quarter there does not appear to be any sign of improvement. At the May sales «ome small shipments from Australasia, en route to Boston, were intercepted and sold at the auctions. It is unlikely that shipments will be sent over from Boston to London, because the holders of the wool are in a position to continue holding. But Amcrican buyers may, probably will, be absentees from the sale; in which ease no improvement in values can be expecied. Fiue wools, of which there is certain to be a limited supply, will hold their values, but we are not so sure about coarse wools. The recent quotations for Bradford top* show that the lower counts have suffered a. slight relapse.
