$- . WOMAN KNOCKED DOWN AND KILLED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, July 3. A woman named Harriet L. Love, aged Gl years, wife of Jlarnmdiike Love, of North-East Valley, was the victim of a fatal accident shortly after 5 o'clock last evening. Mrs. Lovo and a number of other people were standing in George Street, near Frederick Street, apparently waiting for a tramcar, when a trap with three occupants, and driven by a man named Joseph Hunt, approached, and 3frs. Love was knocked down. She was taken to tho .hospital, but died soon afterwards. Hunt states that, when he got near the people, he slowed down to walking pace. He did not see deceased, and was not a«;are of ill* accident until ho was informed that a woman had been knocked down. HEART DISEASE. Dunodin, July 3. John O'Donnell, groom and labourer, aged 23 years, died suddenly on Saturday afternoon. Deceased, who lived in York Terrace, oil' King Street, was married, and leaves four children, tlio eldest being four years old.
