FOOTBALL.
AUCKLAND REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAMME. (By Telegraph.—Proas Association.) Auckland, June 29. At this evening's meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union, the representative programme for the season was practically completed. The Hawke's Bay Union wrote accepting August 13 as tho date for a Ranfurly Shield match. The Wellington Union's suggestion for a match for tho shield on August 20 was accepted, and the Canterbury match was fixed for September 10. Arrangements are being made for the American Universities' match on July 30. It is probable that a suggestion will be mode to Taranr.ki to play here on September 3. The programme therefore is as follows:— July 30.—Auckland v. American Universities. August 13—Auckland v. Hawke's Bay. August 20—Auckland v. Wellington. . August 27.—Auckland v. Thames, at Thames; Auckland B v. Franklin, at Auckland; and Auckland junior representatives v. Waiuku, at Auckland. September 10.—Auckland v. Canterbury. The Southland Union asked leave to forgo this season's match at Auckland, and tho union agreed to tho request.
