BOY SCOUTS.
The postponement of the Scout Demonstration to next Saturday, July 2, vhilo , no doubt causing a great deal of inconvenience, has not been without some benefit. Many scoutmasters had complained of the brief time in which to prepare their hoys for the district championship competition?, and the additional week's practice secured by the postponement will make for greater efficiency in the contests. The addition of a singlestick display by two lads from the Amokura will add to the interest of the programme. The To-Aro Battalion had a rehearsal last evening of scout sketches and choruses, and the entertainment ... which they are providing, in addition to the competitions, will make an attractive programme indeed. l!y request, Mrs. Sutcliffe will recite "The Midnight Charge" {Clement Scott). As arranged for last week, all preliminary competitions will bo conducted in private during Saturday afternoon, so that only the finals will bo included in the programme.
