As lie understood it the main ground of tho Chief Justice's views v,..-ri> that so largo a Court of Appeal was unnecessary, and that tho absence of the whole of the judges from their respective districts tliioughont the Court of Appeal sitting.;, three times a year, was inconvenient to litigants and the public generally in these districts.! and involved considerable unnecessary expense. In accordance- with his duties as Minister for Justice ho proposed to bring his Honour's observations before tho Government for consideration.
