c, "STANDARD OF EMPIRE" SCHEME. VICTORIA AND CANADA FAVOURABLE. By Telecrapli—Frees- Association— CoDyrteht London, Juno 24. The Agent-General for Victoria (Sir J. \Y. Ta vomer) and the Canadian immigration experts express themselves as being favourable- to tho "Standard of Empire" scheme' for tho establishment of King Edward memorial training farms in Great Britain for boys prior to their emigration to the colonies. The Rev. R. L. Gwyiine, of tho British Colonisation Association, stated that tlio success of the farm school at Ashlield, New South Wales, afforded great encouragement to tho British scheme.
