MURITAI PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
ANNUAL MEETING. The animal meeting of tho Muritai Presbyterian Church was held 011 AVednesday evening. Jlr. J. B. Finlay presided. The annual report showed that during tho last twelve months the services had been conducted by Mr. .T. 13. Finlay, who was relioved for three weeks by .Mr. 'Hills. A'isits were also paid by tho Moderator (Bev. A. Thompson, I'etone) and the Kev. J. Caw, lower Hutt. Tho attendance at Divine worship throughout the year had been fairly good. The balance-sheet showed revenue of .£BO 2s. 10d., including £1 9s. 9d. balance from last year, which, after paying expenses, left a credit balance of J>A 10s. Tho new century fund loan now stood at .£2OO. The committee was indebted to the trustees for paying tho insurance on the church and furniture, also to Miss AVise, Miss Andrew, and Mr. Hewitt for officiating at, the organ. The removal of Jlr. and Jtrs. Jioutley and Jlr. and Mrs. J. Barr was recorded with regret. The report aiul balance-sheet were adopted, and the following committee was elected:—Mesdamos AVise and Chapman, Mossrs. Wise, AA'. Hobbs, Cooper, Chapman, and F. Coombc.
Mr. J. Barr submitted a satisfactory report on the Sunday School. During the evening musical items were given,' the following taking part:—Mrs. M'Kinnon, Misses AVise, Allen, Carte, Mrs. AViggs, Jlr. and Mrs. Chapman, and Jlr. AVise.
