WATERLOO CUP MEETING. (By Telegraph.—Spcci.il Correspondent.) Palmerston, Juno 2!J. The' first round of tho Waterloo Cup was begun this morning in lino weather and under tho most favourable auspices. Tho arrangements mado by tho secretary, Mr. A. H. Rogers, and tho committee were very complete, with the result that everything passed off smoothly. There was an excellent attendance of tho publie, and tho hares ran very strongly, and gave a fino afternoon s sport, the spectators being able to witness tho strongest combinations of dogs brought together at any .coursing meeting in tho colony for many years. For the calling of the card, Millbank, Royal Artillery, Kilcoo, Champion Proof, Field Day, Princess Una, and Respite were picked as favourites for the Cup, but when the second round had been concluded-tho last three failed- to justify tho opinion, that was formed of them. To-morrow* tho first round of tho Purse for the twent.v-iive dogs beaten in the Cup, tho first of the Plato for tho thirteen dogs/beaten in the Cup, and the third round' of the Cup will be completed. For tho first and second rounds of the Cup the results were as follow:—
