MINERS RESTOIE. Speaking at the annual meoting of the Papnroii Co., Ltd., yesterday, tlio chairman (Mr. J. P. Maxwell) said: — "On Monday tlio 20th, your directors wero advised that the minors had not resumed work that morning, no notico having been previously received from them of miy dispute or of their intention to stop. It appears that although very irregular this notion could scarcely bo designated a strike. The working was resumed this morning. It is difficult to understand why the stoppage occurred, and it is only necessary for mo to refer to the incident as it has heon referred to in t.iio press, and might lead to misatjji'chousion."-
