It is unofficially stated (says the "Press") that the new high-pressure turbine for tho Maori rill arrive in Sen Zealand within the next two or three months, and that It will be Installed in tho Maori when that vessel lays up for her next overhaul, which is due in September next.. As the Maori has been running almost continuously since her arrival in 'New Zealand waters two years ago last November, she will be subjected to a very thorough overhaul in September, and will go to Port Chalmers for that purpose, and advantage will be taken of the lay-up to replace the present high-pressure turbine bv the new one. It is hoped to dispatch the Kini for Greymouth to-day, tho Komata for Lyttelton, and the Waipori for Westport. The Koonya is to return for Greymouth tomorrow, and the Kaitnna for Lyttclton. Tho Fcderal-HouldeT-Shire liner Sussex left Lyttelton for Dnnedin yesterday with balaneo of Liverpool cargo. After calls for Homeward loading at Bluff, Waitara, and Wanganui, she is due back at Wellington on July 7. As the Holmdn-le, from Kaipara, passed Cape ligmont early yestorday afternoon, she is expected to reach port at noon today. The coastal steamer Defender is duo here on Friday from Hokitika, and will he dispatched the same day for Knramca. Messrs. Johnston and Co. received a telegram yesterday evening stating that the Wairau Bar was still in nn unsatisfactory condition, and in consequence the departure of tho Blenheim for Blenheim has been further postponed until to-night. The steamer lost some time last week through grounding on the bar, and she bar, now been delayed at this port since Saturday.
