Tho members of the Wairarapa Hospital Board, South Wairarapa Hospital and Dr. Valentine, Chief Inspector of Hospitals, met in conference at the Hospital yosterday morning, to consider the erection of additions to the South Wairarapa Hospital after demolishing the old wooden portion.. The inspector produced tho old plan, and a ground plan of his own. After due consideration it was. decided to adopt the latter, and instruct the- architect to proceed with the plan and have it completed for the next meeting of the board. ■ As soon as the Inspector-Gen-eral approves the plans, tenders will bo called for the building. There will be nino additional beds for patients, sitting-room for matron, and sleeping accommodation for matron, nurses, and servants. The necessary bathroom is also provided. A ward (single bed) is also being provided for observation cases, as well as an X Ray room. It will be an up-to-date hospital when finished. -
