FORCED ARBITRATION.

HOULD'ER BROS. COMPLAIN, Br Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. London, June 17. Houldor Brothers and Co., Ltd., the well-known steamship owners, have written to the Prime Minister (Mr. Asquith), protesting against the action of the Board of Trndo in (1) Forcing them to submit to arbitration their claim to pay dockers at Newport by the day instead of by piecework; and (2) declining to protect imported freo labourers when the dockers repudiated the umpire's award in Messrs. Houldor Brothers' favour. Mr. Asquith has merely acknowledged the letter.
